Woah Hey! Sounds!

Last year, before taking a big trip with my best friend, Mark, I bought some field recording equipment. Specifically a Zoom H8 Handy Recorder with the XAH8 mix capsule. Probably a bit overkill for a beginner, but I thought it would be fun to document my travels through audio. I’ve been slowly accruing field recordings and noises since then, and came to the realization that there’s no use hoarding all these cool sounds, so I’m beginning to upload them all to freesound.

On a mostly-weekly basis, I now take my equipment out on hikes to gather fun field recordings from mountains, valleys, forests, and jungles. Hopefully this not-a-blog will be a fun way to keep track of and share some fun journeys and good audio!
