What Happens Now? by Vic Basadre, is a heartfelt story of a young boy learning about and dealing with the death of a family member. The film was selected to screen as part of the CalArts Character Animation Producers’ Show.

Vic made the awesome decision to rely solely on sound design for this film, rather than dialogue or music, which made for an extremely intimate experience. Background effects become the foreground, and Foley gets to shine through. I enjoyed crafting a soundscape that forces people to listen to the parts of everyday life often covered up in films.
